Wollongong City Community Preschool is a caring and fun place to come. The educators here are dedicated to all children’s development and care and we have ample years experience between us all. I believe that by offering a nurturing, safe and secure environment for all children they are able to create sense of belonging. We feel as educators we have developed great partnerships with families, ensuring they feel at ease when leaving their children in care with us. We work on many partnership events for families and children to meet and interact and this carries through into the children’s sense of belonging at the service. We are a diverse centre recognising and celebrating all families’ cultures throughout the centre. We offer a preschool program during the school terms and we offer a homely environment for children and families with a range of resources for all children’s development. We have a transition to school program based around the best start program, we have a smart board and use iPads and we love Kinderloop to partner with families during the day. We have great links with the local community including the library, Wollongong City Council and local park and love excursions, incursions and plan different events each term. Lastly, we are very in tune with our vast range of family cultures who attend the centre and we celebrate these, creating respect for all children and families through our many events each term.
