About
Wollongong Writers Festival is a not-for-profit arts organisation devoted to stories. Our program of free and ticketed events runs annually over the final weekend in November, when we unleash literature, art and ideas on our seaside city of Wollongong on the south coast of New South Wales. We curate a diverse array of experiences, including panels, readings, workshops, interactive performances, music and spoken word events.
Founded on the principles of diversity, access and participation, we showcase local and national writers, artists and thinkers to bring the world to Wollongong, and share the stories of Wollongong with the world.
We are also home to an international short story competition, which you can learn more about here.
